THE FOUR PILLARS · The Four Disciplines

A vessel to guard the home, four disciplines in concert

Four techniques, four uncompromising standards — cast into a consecrated feng shui artifact worthy of being passed down.

I

Form · Sculpture

FORM

Faithful to the spirit of traditional temple carving, our artisans sculpt every robe-fold, scale, and sacred implement in digital space with the feel of a carving knife in hand. Each is grounded in tradition — never generated at random by an algorithm.

II

Precision · Resolution

PRECISION

Industrial-grade SLA printing at 0.04mm layer height renders every fine line of dragon scale, taiji, and bagua — down to individual strands of hair and whisker, each formed in its own right.

III

Spirit · Consecration

SPIRIT

A master painter dots the eyes, applies the colour, and lays the gilding by hand. Before delivery, the piece undergoes eye-dotting consecration together with the partner temple, so the vessel receives its spirit and its presence is established.

IV

Legacy · Limited Edition

COLLECTION

Produced in numbered, limited editions, each piece comes with a certificate of craftsmanship and its own record of the making. No edition number is ever reproduced — a collector-grade artifact meant to be passed down through generations.

FAQ · Common Questions

Answers & Clarity

The questions most often asked about our craft, consecration, ordering, and enshrinement.

What is the Nine Dragons Treasury Casket, and who is it for?
The Nine Dragons Treasury Casket is Mingdeng Atelier's heritage-grade wealth-and-protection piece, built around nine dragons coiled about a treasury seal. It suits a temple hall, a home altar, or a collection alike. Formed by industrial-grade SLA printing (0.04mm layer height) and finished by hand with genuine gold leaf, each comes with a certificate of craftsmanship. See Our Craft.
What makes the craft distinctive, and why is it collectible?
It unites traditional temple-carving technique with micron-scale digital printing — a 0.04mm layer height renders the strands of a dragon's whiskers, the folds of a robe, and the lines of a taiji that are hard to reproduce reliably by hand. Produced in numbered, limited editions and never re-cast, it is a collector-grade piece meant to be passed down. Our signature Nine Dragons Treasury Casket is formed by this method.
Is each piece consecrated? Can I enshrine it at home?
Every piece undergoes the eye-dotting consecration before delivery, performed by a partner temple's keeper or a representative of the presiding deity — craft gives it form, consecration gives it spirit. Once consecrated it may be enshrined in a temple or on a home altar. If you need a specific deity or rite, tell us when you inquire.
How do I order or discuss a commission?
Whether for a personal collection, a home altar, or a temple commission, you are welcome to reach out. On the Commission Inquiry page, leave your name or organisation, contact details, and needs; a project manager will reply within 24 hours with ordering, the commission process, and the particulars of the work.
Size, materials, care — and long-term maintenance?
The Nine Dragons Treasury Casket measures about 21 × 21 × 53 cm, resin-printed with a genuine gold-leaf finish; a soft dry cloth is enough for everyday care. Should it develop natural oxidation, colour change, or wear over time or with its environment, we can provide return-to-studio inspection and restoration as appropriate (re-gilding, refurbishment, upkeep), with cost assessed case by case — an extended maintenance option, not a warranty commitment.
